Singing twins spreading anti-bullying message

DAY CAMPERS IN BELGRADE, TREATED TO SOME MUSIC TODAY — BUT THERE WAS A SERIOUS MESSAGE ABOUT áBULLYING,á AND WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU BECOME OF VICTIM. AT CAMP GOLDEN POND AND CAMP LOON, KIDS BETWEEN THE AGES FIVE AND THIRTEEN ENJOYED A CONCERT AND QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION, WITH áTHE VEAYO TWINSá KATHERINE AND KRISTEN VEAYO SAY THEY WERE BULLIED FOR SEVERAL YEARS IN HIGH SCHOOL, BECAUSE OF A STUTTERING PROBLEM. NOW THEY’RE TELLING THE KIDS — INFORM AN ADULT IF THEY’RE BULLIED. THE RECREATION DIRECTOR SAYS, THIS IS AN IMPORTANT LESSON FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES. Valencia Schubert/Belgrade Recreation Director “We’ve got about 30 kids in there that are dancing having the time of their lives and if one of them gets the message of find an adult, don’t let this continue, I feel like we’ve done our job.” SCHUBERT SAYS THERE ARE KIDS FROM THIS CAMP WHO HAVE BEEN BULLIED. SHE HOPES THE VEAYO TWINS WILL HELP THEM REALIZE THEY TOO CAN GET THROUGH IT, WITH THE HELP OF FRIENDS AND ADULTS.
