Hospital employees wear orange for Anti-Bullying Month

Compassion is spreading through an area hospital. Employees of Gundersen Health System have been wearing the color orange and ribbons as part of Unity Month. The color shows support for anti bullying and compassion. Members from the hospital say bullying doesn’t just happen to children. They have implemented safe places and procedures at the hospital to prevent bullying. We actually have a no hit zone, we have been trained on if we’re seeing adverse behavior, how we need to address those behaviors and we really don’t want to anti bullying, we want to talk about what is it that you need to do, are you being nice or are you being mean. The hospital is part of the anti bullying alliance and the compassion project here in La Crosse.
