eSafety for parents – Cyberbullying 05

DR. MICHAEL
CARR-GREGG: I actually think this is one of the major
problems, that a lot of parents don’t want to get involved. But I think we live
in a community. And I think that if you are told
that your daughter’s friend is posting really worrying
and potentially suicidal messages online, as a
parent of that child, I’d want you to tell me. I’d want to know
what’s going on. And of course, it may well
be that it signifies nothing. But on the other hand, it may
be a genuine cry for help. Either way, you can’t be the
one that makes the decision. Everybody’s got to basically
get together and help this young person.
