Bars and Melody: Lighthouse LIVE on BGT: The Champions (5/10/19)

Kicking us off tonight,
it’s Bars And Melody! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE I’m Charlie.
And I’m Leondre. TOGETHER: And together,
we are Bars And Melody! # I ain’t got no money
Take all I have… We were on series eight of
Britain’s Got Talent, back in 2014. It’s been a long time
since we’ve been back on that stage, so it was amazing to come back. We were just so ready
to just give everything we’ve got. # Waiting for the sun… # We were really worried
that people had maybe, like, forgotten us a little bit,
cos it’s been a long time, you know? But for us to come back
and everyone be like, “Oh, my God, it’s Bars And Melody!” # Waiting for the sun. # CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Bars And Melody! To get through to the Britain’s
Got Talent Champions’ Final is the most amazing feeling ever. We really didn’t think
it was gonna happen, but it has. Tonight is the top of the top. This is such a big deal for us,
I can’t explain. I’m just so excited
to get on that stage and show the nation once again
that we can step it up a level. We did so well last time,
but we didn’t win. We’re back and, I’m not going
to lie, we’re ready to win. Let’s do this. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE # Hold the memories inside my heart # And dream
we won’t have to be apart # And when the storm comes,
shall we just run? # Without you,
I wouldn’t have anyone # On my dark days, when I lay there # I wish that we could breathe in
the same air # Now you’re not here,
my vision ain’t clear # Cos I’m not me
when you’re not here # My heart could be the same way,
I don’t like this feeling # Can we just go back to yesterday? # And it’s been so long,
I’ve been feeling so gone # Then I’ll find a way,
I promise, babe # And I know and I know and I know
it hurts like hell # Yeah, I know, yeah, I know, yeah,
I know it hurts like hell # I wanna swim across the waters # Just to see your face # Like a lighthouse in the distance # I need you to come
and guide my way # I’m coming home to you # I’m coming home to you # I don’t like this feeling,
can we just go back to yesterday? # And it’s been so long,
I’ve been feeling so gone # Then I’ll find a way,
I promise, babe # And I know and I know and I know
it hurts like hell # Yeah, I know, yeah, I know, yeah,
I know it hurts # I wanna swim across the waters # Just to see your face # Like a lighthouse in the distance # I need you
to come and guide my way # I’m coming home to you # I’m coming home to you # I’m coming home to you # Whoa # Whoa # I’m coming home to you, yeah! # CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Oh, wow! Alesha? I love that you did
an original song. And it felt very familiar. It felt like I’ve heard that before.
So, that was great. I think the young girls
are going to go crazy for you. Woooo!
Oh, and… The young girls and David. So, well done, boys. You’ve done
yourselves really proud once again. Thank you.
Thank you. It’s been wonderful
to see you both grow up together, to see your journey,
and to see this progression and you on the stage tonight. So, congratulations, boys. Guys, it was dope. LAUGHTER Which I’m told means good.
It was a fantastic performance. There’s something very authentic
about the two of you together. Your friendship.
You’re obviously writing about things you care about and know. And you’re pop stars, guys. Thank you so much.
Thank you. I think sticking to what you
believe in and doing your own songs, you have my absolute respect
for what you just did – twice. I really mean that. Thanks, judges. Boys, can you sum up
what it would mean to you to win it? I mean, our journey started here
at Britain’s Got Talent. This place feels like home. So, to go back
the Champions of the Champions would honestly mean everything
to us. It would be
the biggest achievement ever. Let’s hear it one more time
for Bars And Melody, everybody! Subtitles by TVT
